The Project Fibonacci Foundation, Inc. would like to thank the Rome Community Foundation for their contribution!

The Rome Community Foundation has awarded $8,000 in grants to three Rome area charitable organizations in the latest distributions for the third quarter of 2020.

The grants ranged from $975 to $5,000, according to the foundation announcement, and including the following awards:

$5,000 to the New York Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund for two black granite benches for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Freedom Park in Camden;

$2,025 to Project Fibonacci for audio-visual equipment; and

$975 to the Rome Art Association for bookcases and paint to enhance their rented space at The Capitol Arts Complex.

According to Victor J. Fariello Jr., executive director of the Rome Community Foundation, the funding was approved by the organization’s Board of Directors at its September board meeting based on the recommendations of the Foundation’s Grant Committee.

Rome Community Foundation board members meet four times a year to review grant proposals for projects that benefit Rome area residents.
