7th Annual Project Fibonacci® STEAM Leadership Conference Recap
From July 27 to August 2, 2025, the Griffiss Business & Technology Park in Rome, NY, came alive with bright minds converging for the 7th Annual Project Fibonacci® STEAM Leadership Conference!
Participants—our inspiring STEAM Scholars (high school students grades 9–12)—immersed themselves in week‑long explorations into the crossroads of science fact and fiction. Inquiry-based approaches guided them through topics ranging from metamaterials and semiconductor chips to aerospace engineering, the quantum realm, and even science fiction versus scientific reality.
They engaged directly with industry experts from Mohawk Valley, participated in hands-on workshops, and applied critical-thinking strategies to separate reality from speculation through scientific evidence.
This transformative experience combined immersive learning, imaginative inquiry, and expert mentorship—offering a memorable journey into innovation, materials science, and speculative frontiers.
