In April Co-chairperson for the Project Fibonacci® Foundation, Inc., Robert Bojanek, won the Impact Award presented by the Central New York Business Journal 2022 Nonprofit Awards.
The Impact Award is for someone that has implemented or created a program that touched the lives of others in a meaningful way and has a direct impact on the community.
During the pandemic Robert leveraged his relationships to form a coalition of organizations focused on food insecurity. Forming the Community Coming Together monthly Free Food Distribution.
With over 70 volunteers from St. John The Baptist Church, Catholic Daughters, The Project Fibonacci Foundation and other Rome community churches as well as support from The Food Bank of Central New York.
At the time of the award over 65 tons of food had been distributed to over 3000 individuals. The food drive has continued each month and the number of individuals assisted continues to grow.
This week Robert was pictured at the January food give away with the award and distribution volunteers.
