KEYNOTE SPEAKERS – From left: Deborah Berebichez, Daymond John, Christine McKinley and Michio Kaku.

Physicists, engineers, science promoters, entrepreneurs and authors all will be presenters during this summer’s second Project Fibonacci STEAM Conference.

The speakers series and featured guests include:

• July 31: Christine McKinley, musician, engineer and co-host of History Channel’s “Brad Meltzer’s Decoded.”

• Aug. 1: Deborah Berebichez, physicist and host of the Science Channel’s “Outrageous Acts of Science.”

• Aug. 2: Michio Kaku, physicist, and author.

• Aug. 3: Daymond John, entrepreneur and founder of the FUBU clothing line.

Project Fibonacci is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math ) youth leadership program that’s spearheaded by Rome-based ANDRO Computational Solutions, a scientific research company. Students in 11th grade through seniors in college come from across New York and beyond for one week, taking part in an immersive, hands-on education that is both team- and project-based.

A few openings remain available for students interested in attending the STEAM Conference.

All of the speaker events will be open to the public with tickets available at www.EventBrite.com. There are specially priced ticket packages.

A look at the speakers

• Deborah Berebichez is a physicist, TV host and data scientist. She is the first Mexican woman to graduate with a doctorate in physics from Stanford University. Berebichez is the co-host of Discovery Channel’s “Outrageous Acts of Science” TV show, where she uses her physics background to explain  the science behind extraordinary engineering feats.

Berebichez is currently the chief data scientist at Metis in New York City.

Her passion is to empower young people to learn science and to improve the state of science, technology, engineering and mathematics education.

She also appears as an expert on the Travel Chanel, NOVA, CNN, FOX and MSNBC, as well as international media outlets.

• Daymond John is an award-winning entrepreneur, and has received more than 35 awards. His marketing strategies and ability to build successful brands have made him a popular motivational speaker.

In 2009, John joined the cast of ABC”s “Shark Tank,” in which entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to a group of highly successful men and women.

He is also an author of two best-selling books, “Display of Power” and “The Brand Within. “

• Christine McKinley is a mechanical engineer, musician and the author of “Physics for Rock Stars.”

She encourages young people, especially women, to get more involved with science, technology, engineering and mathematics courses and careers. McKinley is also a TV personality and has hosted “Under New York” on Discovery Channel along with “Decoded” on the History Channel.

• Michio Kaku, physicist and science promoter, is an internationally recognized authority in two areas. The first is Einstein’s unified field theory, which Kaku is attempting to complete. The other is to predict trends affecting business, commerce and finance based on the latest research in science.

Kaku holds the Henry Semat Chair in Theoretical Physics at the City University of New York. He graduated from Harvard University in 1968 (first in his physics class). He received his doctorate in physics from the University of California at Berkeley, and has been a professor at CUNY for almost 30 years. He has taught at Harvard and Princeton as well.

Kaku also does considerable work on radio and TV. He is the author of several best-sellers.
