Contestants of all ages in the Project Fibonacci Foundation’s scavenger hunt contest, the Community Clue Quest, will have two weeks to complete simple tasks to earn points toward prizes, all while supporting local businesses and the arts.
The contest, open to community members of all ages, ends on Saturday, Aug. 28, in conjunction with the Rome Art and Community Center Summer Concert Series.
Tasks include scanning QR codes located at “QR Zones,” earning bonus points for making a purchase at participating businesses, solving weekly riddles on social media to reveal “Secret Locations,” or by attending a concert at the RACC.
The Rome Art and Community Center Summer Concert Series, sponsored by ANDRO Computational Solutions, LLC and The Project Fibonacci Foundation, also ends Saturday, Aug. 28, with an afternoon performance by Cincinnati Creek and Pocket Change. Grand prize winners of the Community Clue Quest will be announced, and additional prizes will be awarded to participants in the audience.
Weekly winners that have participated in the Community Clue Quest have won gift cards to local businesses, tickets to RACC concerts, and tickets to the recent grand re-opening of the Rome Capitol Theatre.
The more points a contestant earns, the more chances they have to win. Grand prizes will be announced at the last concert of the series and will feature three levels of local gift card bundles totaling $500. QR Zones include The Copper Easel, Copperccino’s, Engelbert’s Jewelers, Inc., The Balanced Chef, Capitol Theatre, Sugarbeets, Arizona Tacos, Cream & Sugarbeets, DiCastro’s, Kekis Service Station, and Gary’s Music. The Project Fibonacci Foundation is thankful for the additional support from the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce, Jervis Library, Thrive Co-Work, and the Rome Historical Society, officials said.
