The Little Falls City School District has teamed with the Project Fibonacci® Foundation, Inc. to deliver an educational enrichment series of STEM plus Arts camps at the school’s state-of-the-art STEAM facilities.  Expect learning adventures in drone instruction, simulator training, drone flying, and developing skills in repairing them.  But it does not stop there!  The program will also delve into themes on Mars exploration, extending the program to encompass themes on the challenges of flying drones on the Red Planet, building rovers to survey its surface, studying sustainability issues, forming societies and a government, and incorporating aspects of the arts and entertainment and much, much more.

Students will participate and engage in STEAM activities including exposure to subject matter designed to encourage and provide opportunities for skill-building, socialization, and mentoring.  It is about taking “thought experiments” to a brand new experience!  The camp series is a collaborative effort that promotes creative problem-solving and critical/innovative thinking while engaging students in real-life issues on sustainability engineering, living and working on Mars, the role of technology, team-building, and expressing creativity through the arts and imagination.

Students will engage in learning about and applying cutting-edge technologies through enriched hands-on activities by working with experienced professionals in a variety of STEAM fields.  The camp will initially focus on 4th-6th grade students and will be broadened in the future to appeal to a wider student demographic.

Contact Dr. Keith Levatino, LFCS District Superintendent or Barb Welch and Tamalin Martin at info@projectfibonacci.org or visit projectfibonacci.org for more information about the program.
