The Project Fibonacci® Foundation STEAM Conference and Speaker Series tightly blends the overarching discipline of math with all-encompassing STEAM-themed tracks held during the week-long summer event. In addition to celebrity keynote presenters, each day includes a complement of local and regional experts, instructors and authoritative sources on various STEAM topics. Tours are held daily to off-site locations, including art museums, scientific research centers, nature habitats and more.

Teachers may earn Professional Development Credit for attending workshops, keynote events or for volunteering as a STEAM Facilitator.

Ask your district and/or BOCES for more information.

How many students can I nominate?

Mentors/Educators/Advisers are all invited to nominate as many students as they’d like. Please remember, a nominated student is not obligated to attend and there is no financial burden on the nominator.

What if students I nominate are not financially equipped to handle the full tuition?

New York State schools, excluding the “Big Five” districts (NYC, Yonkers, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse) may be eligible to have student tuition scholarships funded through their local BOCES. School districts should inquire about CoSers such as:

  • Arts and Education
  • Exploratory Enrichment
  • Professional Development monies for educators

Visit our Fundraising Toolkit for fundraising ideas to share with your nominated students.

How can I as a nominator become more involved?

Teachers, nominators, mentors, professors, etc. are highly encouraged to join the 2018 Project Fibonacci STEAM Conference as a volunteer, STEAM Facilitator or attendee at keynote events/workshops to gain Educational Enrichment credit.

Encouraging your colleagues to nominate their students and your general promotion of The Project Fibonacci Foundation STEAM initiative is greatly appreciated!
